Johan Sundberg Arkitektur’s design for the Stickerapp Urban Factory in Lomma seamlessly blends warm, natural materials with precise architectural detailing to create an inviting office environment. The headquarters and production facility feature an undulating facade, adding to the visual appeal of the urban space, with plans to open a public restaurant several days a week.
Material Palette
Pine plywood clads the interior walls, meticulously showcasing minimal joints for a graphically precise aesthetic. Light terrazzo flooring, glass partitions without bulky frames, and suspended Troldtekt tile ceilings contribute to the cohesive material palette. Against the backdrop of sizable steel beams and well-proportioned ventilation pipes in the production hall, these carefully chosen materials foster a cozy atmosphere within an industrial setting.
Spatial Dynamics
At the heart of the building lies the two-story production hall, visually connected to the offices on the upper floor. A conference room extends into the hall, featuring artwork by the artist duo Beck & Ljung, creating a harmonious integration of art and architecture. Below, laser and offset printers produce a variety of stickers and labels, ranging from standard to specialized designs, fulfilling online orders.
Layered Aesthetics
The architectural design of the Stickerapp Urban Factory allows for a layered reading of the space, from finer natural materials to raw industrial elements. This tension between carefully arranged aesthetics and industrial functionality adds depth to the building’s visual narrative, inviting exploration and appreciation.

Integrated Design Approach
Johan Sundberg Arkitektur oversaw the architectural design and fixed furnishings of the Stickerapp Urban Factory, including site-built elements in the common areas. Karolina Nilsson of White Arkitekter curated the loose interior furnishings, ensuring a cohesive and functional interior environment. The cafeteria and dining room, positioned near the entrance, serve as the social hub of the building, reflecting the company’s ethos of fostering community and collaboration.
