Revitalizing Tradition
Originally serving as a water mill house for over four decades, the building fell into disuse as rural landscapes evolved. Atelier ArchFAN’s task was to revitalize the area, integrating the old mill house with surrounding natural elements to create a recreational space for locals and tourists alike.
Embracing Environmental Elements
The design of Shuinian Station embraces key environmental features such as water channels, woodland, and farmland. Retaining the original water channel, the installation creates a mesmerizing vortex effect, reminiscent of the mill’s former operation.
