Preservation of Heritage
Spanning approximately 400 square meters within a sprawling garden of 3700 square meters adorned with century-old trees, Villa 99 embodies a commitment to conservation. With meticulous planning, the design preserves every tree, weaving the villa into the fabric of the landscape to foster a harmonious coexistence between built environment and natural beauty.
Spatial Composition
The villa’s layout reflects a delicate balance between functionality and aesthetics. Positioned along two main axes delineating the garden, the bedrooms embrace panoramic views of the verdant surroundings. A transparent enclosure, housing the staircase, serves as a luminous link between levels, while the main lobby provides a seamless transition to the pool and garden, blurring the boundaries between indoor and outdoor realms.
Engineering Challenges
Overcoming the obstacle of situating the garden within a flood-prone area required innovative solutions. Employing an ancient channel to redirect water flow and strategically implementing flood control measures, the design team ensured both the safety and integrity of the garden amidst natural adversities.
Timeless Materials
Echoing the timeless elegance of the garden, the villa’s facade is clad in cream-colored rubble stone, complemented by accents of weathered metal and flat cement.
